Il Teatro del Fuoco® is a prestigious Italian brand born in 2008 from the intuition of the journalist and communication and marketing expert Amelia Bucalo Triglia.


The idea behind this project is to enhance and promote, at an international level, the beauty, culture and richness of the Mediterranean places through art and entertainment, creating a unique combination of emotion and entertainment.

The undisputed protagonist is fire, a primordial element and symbol of energy, passion and transformation.


Thanks to its evocative power, fire becomes the common thread of an extraordinary show, capable of uniting artists and spectators in an engaging experience.


For over a decade, Teatro del Fuoco® has been staging breathtaking performances that blend dance, mime, theater, acrobatics and music, making use of the best international artists and the greatest masters in the scenic use of fire. Il Teatro del Fuoco® is an Italian brand born in 2008 from the idea of the journalist, communications and marketing expert, event organizer Amelia Bucalo Triglia with the aim of promoting the beauty and richness of the Mediterranean places in the world through art and entertainment.


It is fire, an element that generates passion and creativity, the vehicle chosen to network in the area and involve spectators in shows that for 10 years have made use of the best artists from all over the world and masters of the use of fire in dance, mime and acrobatics.

TERRITORY AND CREATIVITY

Teatro del Fuoco® enhances the territory through sensorial shows, exalting fire as a symbol of creativity, regeneration and inspiration. Divided into several sections, it combines art, culture and tradition with engaging costumes, scenography and music, offering a unique and fascinating experience.

The festival uses the spectacularity of fire to enhance the territory, combining costumes, scenography, choreography and impactful music. Through images, literature and food, it involves the spectator in a complete sensory experience.


It is divided into several sections, including One Show, Focus, TOUR, KIDS, FOOD, Literature, OFF, Social and DayLight, dedicated to the valorization of the cultural and local heritage.



Different from the "Burning Man" of Nevada, which celebrates the destructive power of fire, the Teatro del Fuoco® exalts its creative, regenerative and inspiring energy. Each show is born from a unique theme to tell new stories.

Teatro del Fuoco explores the cultural significance of fire through anthropology, philosophy and science, supported by a Scientific Committee with prestigious institutions.


Born in 2007 by international professionals, the project promotes Italian art and culture. The Aeolian Islands, with their volcanic nature, are the ideal place for a theater that celebrates the bond between man and fire, enhancing the territory and its tourist potential.

ENERGY

The first edition of Teatro del Fuoco told the story of Energy and took place in 2008 in Stromboli, the fiery heart of the Aeolian Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the jewel in the crown of tourism in Southern Italy.

TRANSFORMATION

A grandiose show, the result of a skilful re-adaptation of Bruce Chatwin's "The Songlines" with choreography by Enzo Caruso and narration by Stefania Blandeburgo.

MYTHS AND GODS OF FIRE

Starting in 2010, the Teatro del Fuoco began to broaden its horizons, involving, in addition to Stromboli, the other Aeolian islands, Ginostra, Lipari and Salina, up to Etna. The focus of the third edition was the Myths and Gods of Fire, staging the world premiere of the live show “Prometheus”.

FIRE PASSION

“Fire is Passion” is the title of the 2011 show in which fire is interpreted as a pulsating passion from the depths of Stromboli, Lipari and Vulcano.

FEMININE FLAME

The fertile and fertilizing Earth is the protagonist of the 2012 show “Feminine Flame”.

BURNING DESIRE

In 2013 the entertainment opportunities are doubled: it is the turn of “Burning desire”, or the Ardent Desire staged between the Aeolian Islands and Palermo, intended as determination to reach the goal, but also of the Tricolour show.

SPARKLING ISLANDS

Fire and contemporary art merge in the 2014 edition when the show “Sparkling Islands” is staged at the Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Palermo and in the tuff quarries of Favignana to tell the story of the fire that generates life and fuels heat.

MUSICIANS

In 2015, the Teatro del Fuoco, at the request of the Municipality of Catania, moved to the slopes of Etna to create a show that could enhance not only the beauty and power of the volcano but also the artistic and landscape wonders of the city.

IDENTITY

In 2016, at the same time as the UNESCO recognition of the Arab-Norman route of Palermo, just over a year after its inclusion in the World Heritage List, the Teatro del Fuoco seizes the opportunity to stage “Identity”. On that occasion, the show draws on the philosophical thought of Friedrich Schelling, who combines the world of the real with that of the ideal, to tell the story of the contrast between identity and difference, unity and becoming to reach the absolute.

In 2017, Teatro del Fuoco celebrates its tenth edition and with the show “10” celebrates life, taking advantage of the enchanting and suggestive location of Castello a Mare in Palermo. A show with big numbers: 100 artists, 500 people and over 80 companies believed in the work of Teatro del Fuoco. 25 nationalities and 10 languages were represented under an Italian brand that uses fire as a cultural connector.

FUTURE

Power, imagination, enchantment and seduction. The 11th Edition of Teatro del Fuoco, International Firedancing Festival multiplies its shows and adds social commitment and new forms of entertainment to the splendid Sicilian scenarios for the week of July 31st to August 5th in Sicily.

Dances with incandescent flames, magic, sensuality, seductive voices and music will be performed by Italian women from Tuscany, Calabria, Sicily, by an Israeli woman Ms. Flames, and by the Duo WildFlower Project, a perfect combination to create particular and suggestive atmospheres with fiery dances, voices, guitar and loop station.
