PAINTING course

The workshop explores the imagination with the watercolor technique, introducing tools, pigments and methodologies. It encourages experimentation, enhances the graphic sign and guides participants, especially beginners, in the search for artistic harmony.

The workshop aims to explore our own imagination through the fascinating technique of watercolor.

The tools of the trade, the types of brushes and the types of paper best suited to various needs will be presented.

We will produce together some godets starting from the pigment powders and we will use them during the whole cycle of meetings alongside the more commercial colours in distribution.

The first lessons will be dedicated to the planning of your work and the basics of watercolor drawing, while the following lessons will address the three main methodologies: dry on wet, wet on wet and wet on dry. During the course, notions of experimental methods will be introduced and creativity and experimentation with mixed techniques and unexplored and extemporaneous solutions will be encouraged. This will also give us the opportunity to look at a possible "mistake" in its beauty and usefulness in the construction of our work. Each student will be followed and accompanied in the discovery of the most suitable technique to enhance their graphic sign and their pictorial imagination. The workshop is mostly aimed at achieving a result that is not exclusively technical but at seeking a certain overall harmony. Furthermore, the recurring characteristics of what we observe, influenced by what we perceive, will represent the identity and recognisability of our drawings. This activity is aimed especially at beginners and those who want to explore their imagination through watercolor.
